What would you charge for a Ported 12 box, My friend has a shatty Prefab atm and wants to upgrade (he lives in centerville which is close i think). His sub is a RF Punch, I dont quiet know all the specs but send me a PM and Ill let him know.

You don't use anything besides glue to bond the pieces?

I know thats all it "needs" but I like having something to pull the pieces together.

Why not use some staples or even a couple of screws?

That glue has a 3500+ psi hold //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif...when you dont have time/clamps to clamp the pieces together, that's when you use screws (screws just simply hold wood together for the glue to dry)..but I have both time and clamps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

But you start thinking about someone throwing a badass sub with a ton of power in there and you want some extra holding force.

I know i've pulled wood apart that had been glued for YEARS when we rebuilt the old extreme caravan, had to pry a little but it came apart. I just don't want to see that happening to a box

Yea, that's another reason why the 45 degree inserts are there...a good amount of added glueing surface area (so the corners are probably the strongest point). And a friend of mine has an enclosure similar to this but for (2) 12's and he has a SAZ1500 going to some SSD's and it is extremely rigid and performs perfectly. yea, that isnt thaaat much power, but still. And if someone plans on running multiple thousands of watts into one of these boxes I will surely redesign and reinforce them to make sure they stay solid.
