12" or 15"

i'm still waiting for my 12" brahma to be shipped from the dealer due to backorder. however, i have the option to pay extra and upgrade to a 15" and have it shipped immediately. due to size limitations, i will use the 12" in a 2ft^3 ported box tunned to 28Hz but if i get the 15" i will use a 2ft^3 sealed box. i was wondering which would have the best sq and hit harder? also, do you think it's best if i wait for the 12" or get the 15"? thanks!

what kind of car do you drive, maybe we could squeeze some more room if you had the sub firing upward rather than forward or back, then you could get the 15 and tune it and stuff.

thanks for all the help! i forgot you can view results with winisd. after using the program, the 15" does have a higher spl over the 12".

red=15" 2.5ft^3 vented box tunned to 26Hz

yellow=15" 2ft^3 sealed box

green=12" 2ft^3 vented box tunned to 28Hz

i really like the results of the 15" brahma in a 2.5ft^3 vented box tunned to 26Hz.

it is +4db louder than the 12" at 50Hz. although, at around 30Hz, i was suprised that the vented 12" is louder. after looking at my availabe space again, the 2.5ft^3 box should fit.

i have a question about the gain results in winisd. it seems that the 12" brahma has better gain than the 15" brahma in lower frequencies, around 30Hz. does this mean the 12" will be louder at lower frequencies than the 15"? thanks!

i would also go with the 15" it would definetly hit harder depending on what you put with it
