I set gains with a 35hz 0db tone, but anything in the amp's range

IMO the best way to set ssf is by ear/eye I use it to limit the sub's excursion....ATM i do not have one set, as my box is tuned @24hz

and i set the ssf after setting gains to limit the excursion mine is 20-50hz what should i set the ssf to around 30 right around halfway

its 20-50hz 24db

i just went outside and set it like at 45hz and then set my gains to 28volts with no bass boost that will work right

45hz is WAY too high for a SSF. Set it to ~20hz

I would go lower on the ssf.....don't know exactly what frequency without seeing your setup, but def lower than 45hz

well it goes 20-50hz so what bout like 35

also what hz tune do i use for test tone and do i use a 0db or a -3db sine i listen to rap

so i should set at 30hz and use a 70hz -3db test tone since i listen to rap right

and my volts on the dmm should read 27.3 for 750watts at 1ohm so if i do 27.8-28 thats fine as well since the sub wont always see the true 750-800watts
