12" Flatlyne Sealed Enclosure - Ideas / cubic feet?

IA's recommended size for an enclosure for the flatlyne is:

closed 28.3 - 39.6 liter

This converted to cubic feet is 1-1.4 cubic feet. The displacement of the driver is .13 cubic feet. Does the recommended capacity include the displacement or I need an additional 1-1.4 cubic feet resulting in 1.13-1.53?

Also, do you have any recommendations on where to buy said enclosure?

put it in a 1.5cube box, i would just build the box its a sealed design kinda hard to f up

As opposed to ported? smaller footprint and isn't sealed more associated with SQ?

The box will be smaller, but a properly designed ported box will sound good and be quite a bit louder.

ported can sound just as good and has the advantage of greater output, though this sub does wonderful in larger sealed boxes.

I am only looking to purchase a premade box as I do not have any tools or anything available here to construct anything.

Do you have any links to any suggested ported boxes?

Also, when you say large sealed, how large are you talking?

like i said earlier 1.5cubic feet, and they have quite a few guys on here that will design and build you a custom box for a decent price just look at the vendor section for box builders. i never use a prefab box because their build quality usually ****

Yea, if you're looking to buy pre-made, you'll have to buy sealed. I think it may be hard to find one big enough though.

If you're smart and can give up the space to run ported, you'll be in heaven. You just need to be able to pony up the cash for someone on here to design and build a proper ported enclosure for you.

if you have a massive amount of space to use it will also sound awesome in a tapered 1/4 wave...

thats what the one in my living room is running in... it sounds awesome, its really too much for the house, but i dont care.
