This shows a 3/8" spacer is required. It will work without one but your xmax is affected.

Nowhere in there does it state that you need spacers for the lvl 4 motors, or the xl motors on a 12" sub. Please show me where you have definitive evidence that you need spacers between the basket and motor for a stealth coil on a 12".

All that was was a for sale ad for an 18 that stated 3/8" spacer was required.
