12" 06 Kicker L5 questions.

Is it true that they are really the 05 model L7's? And if i go with the biggest box kicker suggests(i think it is 3.25^3 per sub) will the subs powerhandling decrease?

i dont know if they are the same sub.. but from what i hear the capabilities of the new l5 and the old l7 are similiar.

and yeah bigger box youll prolly have a lower power handling but if youre keeping it under 8 or 900 rms then i dont think itll matter. 1kw would prolly be fine but i havent had L5s in that big of a box to be able to tell you.
