12/10'' W7

I have both a 12w7 and 12sx, even tho you'll save a lil cash the w7 is worth it.. Ive built a few different boxes for both and i'll tell you this, it doesnt really matter what the enclosure is, the re cant touch the w7 in really any category , especially low end and overall smoothness/clarity... The sx is a great speaker but just not close to being on par w a w7

*sigh* This is a hard decision for me to make. I was hoping to here you say that the w7 and the SX are on the same level.

getting a 12w7 sort of broke the bank for me, i bought mine used to save a little bit. plus instead of getting a jl 1000/1 like most people i picked up a used pg tantrum 1200.1 which powers the w7 perfectly fine at 3 ohms. i have yet to hear another single 12" sub that can match the sound quality and output that the 12w7 has. it's a very well balanced subwoofer imo.

How do u run a 12w7 off a 2500d and have it do well???? seems like a waste to me:crap:

well since i already had the 2500d in my posession, it worked pretty well.

the SX CAN outperform a 12W7 in spl, but the W7 will top it in all other categories.

Well, just an update to this.

I've decided that i cannot afford a w7. period lol

im going to have the kicker zx1000.1 amp, and i just need to decide which sub/subs i want to use. i was thinking one memphis m3 12'', or two memphis power reference 12''s in a nice ported box..anyone have any input on this?
