12’’ Sundown Audio Nightshade v1 with Aluminum Pole Plug

Item(s) Description/Condition:

Nightshade 12" Subwoofer

If you want a loud subwoofer to use both daily and in the SPL lanes then look no further than the Sundown Audio Nightshade. Many Sundown Audio customers are already using Nightshade woofers to achieve SPL levels in excess of 150 dB on music in their vehicles! *

The Nightshades feature strong paper composite cones with an additional stiffening disc located behind the thick poly dust caps. The tinsel leads are tied down to the spiders so you never have to worry about the leads slapping or popping against the cone and spider at high excursion levels!

The Nightshade woofers are assembled in the USA with only the best high strength adhesives and materials.

* Please use caution as excessive SPL levels such as those achievable with the Nightshade subwoofer can cause permanent hearing damage!

Was bought directly from sundown and I am the only owner. It is a refurbished motor so its not perfect cosmetically but nothing is physically wrong with it. It does have a few nicks in the surround from where it was taken in and out of boxes for spl tesing. Will come with a gasket although there isn’t one in the pictures. I wanted to show the blemishes so you know what you are getting. Also the basket has been painted and there are a few chips in the black paint. Once again nothing that would hinder the performance. Ive tried to get pictures of all the imperfections but if there is something you want to see in more detail let me know and I will get it. I took the pics with my phone but can get better pictures with my camera if desired. The sub was never abused and honestly I don’t beat on it hard daily at all, only time it was pushed hard was during competition. The only power this thing has seen is my single sundown 1500@1ohm. I measured the true rms power I was getting out of my setup and it was 600-700 watts. It never got stinky and as you can see in the pics the coil is perfect till this day. The only reason for selling is that I am looking to downgrade to something smaller that weighs less and will suit me better for my daily needs. I am calling it quits on competing for now so I don’t need this type of sub.

LOL 1500 rms... GLWS sir.

If you reconed this with a copper coil it would make a decent SQ sub, Zs are a nightshade motor with a copper shorting ring and a copper coil

then why does the z have a double stacked and nightshade has a triple stacked motor? jacob has came online several times to show the differences between the 2 woofers. and this woofer laughs at 1500w, i will be putting a 15 nightshade on about 2700w here very soon
