1100 watts @1ohm, best sub for daily spl

I currently run a treo ssi 15 giving it about 1100 watts and at first it was loud but over time its begining to fall off. What sub can I put in its place on the same power and get louder? Sq isn't really an issue, but please no one note wonders. 15" or 18" probably since my trunk is huge( 85 Cadillac Fleetwood), unless you know something I don't. Please try not to go outrageous on the price though. I hear SX's are good, but I've never heard one so I'm not sure. LMK what you guys think. Thanx

SX's dont have the best sound quality, but if your just going for loud i'd say a SX

That was my first thought, but would the SX really be louder than the current treo? Going from a 15" to an 18" should yield some kind of increase in output for sure due to cone area increase, but are SXs really that loud? Any other options?

Again, sound quality isn't really a priority, as long as its no worse than a L7 sq wise I'm good. If I were to go SX18, what would be the best size enclosure for that?

Its currently in a 3cuft inclosure @35hz, but it was in 4cuft @32hz before that .I just want more output .

SX's get loud for sure...all depends on the box though.

I personally don't think that you would hear that big of a difference going from the treo to the sx. If you got $300.00 to spend, look into a 15 FI Q or BL. Either will be deff. be louder than either of the treo or the sx....just my 0.02......

I don't think a 15" Q will yield more output then an 18" SX

No clue on the BL, but if you were to go with a BL you'd need more then 1100 RMS to make it sing

Ok since you guys insist I'll get an SX when I find one cheap. Can the Sx take more power than the rated 1000rms and if so, how much daily?
