10w7 refoam kit on eBay

Thinking about buying a 10w7 on craigslist with a couple rips in the foam...guy says he siliconed them and they don't effect the sound at all. (Gonna go look and listen to it tmrw) So I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with those refoam kits they sell on eBay for ~$35.
