10's vs 12's

if a guy would run let's say 4 10" type r's against 4 12 inch type r's in the recommended enclosures but the power stayed the same like 2000 - 25000w rms, would there be a noticible difference in loudness or just in low end

there will be a difference in sound and how low it gets. the 12's have more total surface area.

pi * r^2 is your friend...

4 10"s = 314 ^2 inches

4 12"s = 452.16 ^2 inches

2 15"s = 353.25 ^2 inches

10's can get plenty loud, especially 4 of them. i have one ported ten and it'd plenty.

Incorrect. The fact that they have the same motor is irrelevant. The 12s can displace more air by virtue of greater cone area, in addition to going a bit lower than the 10s.
