-10db test tone for sub amps

Is it ok to use a -10db test tone to set gain on your amp for your subwoofer?I will be using an oscope to set the gain.

No, thats too low, if your using an oscope just use that and a -3 tone.

You can use a -6db tone if you would like also for more output and with that oscope that will be better.

Use a -6db tone and watch that oscope

Make sure none of your stuff gets past -6dB, too.
