amp draw of kx2500.1

im considering getting a kx2500.1 or orion 2500... to upgrade from my sundown ... nothing set in stone yet... just curious...

i have a hc600 in trunk... 1/0 wiring... and 130 amp alt... which i assume would be sufficent for the 2500's.... but does anyone know the amp draw's?

also i know there not rated @ 1ohm... but can they actually do it? or do you need some super electrical system with a 180 amp alt + 4 batts in the trunk?

well just a generic formula but Volts x Amps= power(watts) so watts/volts= amps

2500/12=208amps

2500/14.4=173amps

IDK what these draw, i had both, i think ive got something wrong in the mustang that it seems to draw to much, i ran an orion 2500d in my lincoln ls for a while with nothing but an exta durastart battery but i would think they are about the same

wowzers, thats alotta amps... suppose i need to go ahead with one of the hc600's big bro's under the hood...

also 400-500 + ship a good price for either 2500? is one better than the other?

kicker=2 ohm power

orion= 1 ohm power

500 for either is pretty much right on point

same boards, kx has a cooling fan and the zx does not.. different shrouds of course.. btw that's a decent price... though I don't think you'll find a zx for that price..

sorry, my mistake, I didn't even see the orion mentioned...
