1000 watts

I'll make this simple, Have 600rms (PG Titanium600.2) on my Fi SSD10 at the moment and looking to put 1000rms to it. The only amp that i've really looked into and liked was the Sundown 1000.

Amp can't be any bigger than 18in. long MAX.

Very effecient Cass D

Full power at 1 or 4 ohms (sub is D2)

Good quality amp.

I'm running a Sae-1000D on stock electrical.

Gain is about half way and I get no headlight dimming at all.

The Sundown is sounding pretty good, What does the wired bass knob look like? I wonder if my PG would work? It just looks like a standard phone jack?

I tried a Hifonics bass knob on my Sundown SAZ 1500 when I first got it, it did not work... subs just pulsated instantly and scared me lol. I ordered one from sundownz on here for cheap... works excellent.

After looking around for awhile i'm down to the Sundown 1000 or the Alpine PDX 1000. They both fit my needs and the price is close.

Would anyone lean towards one or the other?

i hear the sundown name a lot more than alpine. For the alpine you may be paying more for the 'name' as well whereas the sundown you may be paying more for the 'quality'. But I haven't used either. I have a Memphis myself.

Also I forgot to ask. It says the amp is 86% efficient at 4ohms on there site. But it only makes 1000 watts at 1ohm. So how efficient is the amp at 1 ohm?
