1000 watts under $100?

I got 2 Soundstorm CR4000.1 off amazon for 96.00 shipped brand new. thinking they should only do about 1500 watts at 2ohm probably (says it will do 2200w at 2ohm) . hopefully not to dirty, that's not bad.. was one of their gold treasure sales.. figure I could just resale them for maybe 100-150 each and double my money and beat any other price for them.. I should hook one up to test with a volt meter and see what voltage it can put out.

I doubt that. It sounds like you don't know the difference between RMS and peak watts.

How can you get 2200 watts out thru a single 80 amp fuse? AB class even?

It's a 500 watt amp dude. They lied.

you can't get 1000 watts for 100 bucks , but you can get 2200 watts for $ 250 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

To get 1500 watts thru an 80 amp fuse the cars input voltage would have to be at least 18.75 volts! That's at 100% efficiency. AB amps are usually less than 50% efficient, so the cars voltage would really need to be in the area of 37 volts!

To get 2200 watts ( LOL!) the cars voltage would have to be around 55 volts! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Some people need to realize that a lot of amp makers LIE their asses off.

The JD does ~800 watts@ 3 Ohms so I assume there would be no noticeable difference.
