2 Alpine Type R 15"s
Okay here's the problem...I just bought two Alpine Type R 15's. I was gonna buy a BX1500D amp from Hifonics to power the two at 2 ohms. Since the amp is rated at 1000 watts there....I figured it would be a good choice but I've also heard that the BX1500D doesn't have accurate numbers at 2 ohms....People say it produces closer to 900 watts....Anyone know what I should do? Stick with this amp or possibly choose another one in the same price range? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time.

I just got 2 Alpine type R 12's, and I am running an Orion 1200D at .5 ohm. I think that you should give them more power. Mine are 500rms each and they are handleing at least 800 each now with ease. Loud as hell.
