1000/1 & 2 W6's working but no BUMP

$100 says you have your input voltage set to "High".

If the input voltage switch is set to "High" you will have considerably lower output(sounds backwards but it's correct), only set to "high" If your using 8v outputs on your headunit. Set to "low" and then set your input voltage knob, "gain", accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Also, if your headunit is doing the sound processing set your bass eq to "off". When it's set to "off" your "Q", "center frequency", and I also believe your "boost" is defeated(non-active).

No/minimal clipping, I set the volume level on the deck accordingly to each song. You can ask me again next year when the system is still working flawlessly.
So you know the exact volume to play every song on your HU? What HU do you have?

Whats the difference between setting your gain by ear, or using your volume knob to adjust your volume level to each song by ear? I'm waiting....

I don't believe in using a DMM and a sine wave. I don't go around listening to steady sine waves, I enjoy music.

To answer your question, I have a Pioneer deck. Most Guns N' Roses sounds right around 50-52, "Bassier'' Rock sounds good around 47, and Rap sounds good right around 45.

If I listened to more rap, I'd probably back off the gain some, so I could hear the high's a little better, but as of now it sounds good on all of the rock that I listen too, and I've pounded the system for a long time with no problems, or even a hint of heat from the center of the cone...
