100 watt rms speakers on 150 watts...how to set gains?

Noob question here...

I don't know how to do this. I have 100 watt rms speakers (cadence cwm6) off of a 150x2 amp (txa600).

How do I make sure i'm only giving them 100 watts? Do I just set my gains and make sure there is no clipping, or is there a way to measure?

Also, I've been interested in using the dmm method to set my gains. I have a dmm, but iv'e contacted the cadence and they informed me that I need a 4 ohm dummy load to put on the amp when I do this. Where can I get this, and why do only certain amps need it?

some amps go into protect or something with no load. Best thing to do is try.

TO set your gains you would set HU volume to 3/4 and set your gain as follows

sprt(100wrms * 4) = 20vac

There is a sticky in the amp section or you can follow the one on jlaudio.com to set using the DMM method.
