Offering up a TC-9 LMS 10" with the Eclipse badge attached, the SW8000. It's intended for sealed enclosures and it's designed to have a wide bandwidth with extremely low distortion. It's a musical driver that offers a very high degree of resolution and plunges into the depths of subsonic frequency response with absolute ease and authority. The Fs of the driver is 16Hz!

Some have reported that this driver does not extend very high in frequency but that's simply not the case. It has a huge copper shorting ring in the motor and the inductance is well below 1mH (right around .8mH). What is actually taking place, is that the driver has so much low frequency ability that when combined with your vehicle's transfer function, the relative output of the higher octaves is somewhat depressed. This is a simple matter of choosing the correct enclosure and/or applied EQ. Just the same, like any TRUE subwoofer it should be crossed low, regardless. Most of you interested in the finesse of music and possessing a stout front stage will find that 1 to 1.5 cu.ft. sealed/stuffed, with an amplifier that can provide 1000RMS @ 2ohm, will suffice. Enclosures as small as .5 cu.ft. can be used if you like a higher Qtc (warmer, punchier). It is stressed that these types of drivers not be used in vented enclosures due to the fact that the motor force at the end of the mechanical stroke is still very high and unloading causes a serious potential for cone damage. Definitely a suspension-limited design and the motor can easily destroy the soft parts. Treat it with care and respect and you will enjoy some of the creamiest low frequency reproduction you've ever heard. Yeah, I said creamiest.

I'm not offering a great deal by any means but that's because I don't need to sell it and I LOVE my LMS drivers. I'm only too happy to keep this so if you don't agree with the price, you're not obligated to buy it. I just really need some free space. Operating condition is absolutely flawless and cosmetically there are the tiniest little dings in the cone which must have occurred from something small like a wood chip being violently thrown about inside the enclosure and coming in contact with the backside of the cone. It's not as bad as I just made it sound but within a foot of the cone you can see them. Still, it looks wonderful and you won't mind having it on display but it needed mentioning. I pride myself on selling items that are in mint condition but you can't win them all.

I'm selling the driver with the Eclipse logo still in place. The other one I'm keeping for certain. If the buyer wishes, for an additional $20 I will remove the Eclipse logo to look just as the other one does. The process is not as easy as you may think, it's quite messy and there's lots of finish work involved. The current Audiopulse version of this driver sells for about $450 to $500 and we all know that's over-priced. The Eclipse version still sells for $220 at Woofersetc.com and that's because they want to get rid of the stock. They were much more than that when they were the then-current line. Otherwise, they're very hard to find.
