10" subwoofer for .75 cubic foot sealed enclosure

Goodbye!
My search fu is ultra weak tonight. Basically, I want to know what 10 inch subwoofer will sound best in a .75 cubic foot sealed enclosure, if such an animal exists.

I realize I will probably get all kinds of answers, and I am OK with that because I need a starting point to begin my quest for that particular subwoofer! Oh yeah, in case you missed my other posts, please don't say JL Audio 10w3v2 because that is NOT a good subwoofer for .75 cubic feet.

You're right, you will get a lot of responses. Pretty much any driver with a Qts = 0.4-0.9 will work in a sealed enclosure. Is 0.75 cubes cast in stone or can you go smaller?

I already have the .75 cubic foot enclosure but I could always build another one smaller or bigger. I was just being lazy when I asked for the .75 cubic foot sub, but since it is getting cooler outside, I am game for building a custom fiberglass enclosure, or two, now:D

Dayton Titanic

Building on the reputation of the 10" MKII subwoofer, the MKIII sub excels at producing very clean and musical bass in a small enclosure. Reaping the benefits of the MKIII improvements, this woofer is now even better for medium-duty home theater applications in small-to-medium sized rooms. The small 10" size is perfect for multi-driver or multi-subwoofer situations. With an upgraded 2-1/2" voice coil and 18.7 mm of Xmax this subwoofer is great for home and automotive applications in both sealed and vented enclosures.

  • Power handling: 400 watts RMS/565 watts max
  • Impedance: 4 ohms
  • Fs: 28 Hz
  • Xmax 18.7 mm
  • Sensitivity 87.7 dB 2.83V/1m
  • Vas: .95 cu. ft.
  • Qts: .39

You can hang onto that laziness - simply add a solid object to the inside of your box to cut down on volume, like a brick or something.
