10" subs, box hole for 12's

ya im aware of the difference, i was just just wondering if there was a good way to make them fit, without destroying the box or with the least amount of work done to make the 10's fit. Could i just screw in a 2 inch wide ring into the holes and secure it there good...or would this be a bad idea?

cut a piece of 3/4 inch mdf wide and long enuf to cover the whole front of the box, then cut 2 holes for the new subs, scrwe the new 'baffe' to the old box = done

yeah what he said lol

ill try to word it diff if you didnt get wht he said

you have your 12s cut-outs you can either use a full piece of mdf and cut 2 hooles for the tens.. make sure theyr as centered as you can get and scre it on the front or the inside if you want to have to subs recesed a bit

or if you dont have that big a piece of mdf.. you can use one piece for each just leave enough roon for the new "1/2 baffle" to be secure

and vwalla!

build a new box. If you're oging to buy MDF and get the tools going, you might as well build a box that is better suited for the woofers you're using than trying to salvage an old box. Besides, the experience will do you good.
