Building my sister a sub-stage for Christmas with an enclosure similar to this one..
where that front plate is a "beauty plate" and the actual enclosure is behind that plate like so
I have the dimensions of that enclosure and will be building it to where I can achieve roughly 1.25 after port displacement using a 3" PVC port.
I want to know which 10"s can be had for relatively cheap (idk if there are any sick deals out there) that will perform well in this environment. I will probably be throwing at least 600w on it.
I was thinking about the Mach 5 subs that were really cheap, but also looking at Type R's and stuff like that. The car is a Charcoal Grey Altima coupe so the type R would look pretty good in there.
Also, a 3" Port will be roughly 14" long and I'm wondering if it will be big enough, or if I should try for two 3" ports at twice the length to alleviate port noise. This is sort of an idea as of now so it is still subject to change but what do you guys think?
