Well, Im thinking about getting rid of my premiers and trying something new.
My car is a Lexus, which means a QUIET trunk and hard to get noise to cabin.
Over my thanksgiving break Im going to try and build a box and got a few questions. Im going sealed, because the subs will be firing into my cabin and dont want to create port holes for them. Also read ROE Challenge and sealed only lost 1db to ported.
#1-How big of a box should I make? In the ROE 12" Challenge it had 1.5 for one 12" sealed. Now, is 1.5 the ideal per woofer? Mine are 10's, so would I be best at like 2.8 for both? Or should I go bigger than ROE to something like 3.5 total area?
#2-How much power can these handle daily? Im feeding my premiers 800rms each daily. I know a 12 should handle that with ease, but will the 10's be able to handle this kind of beating on a daily basis? I think it should be more than fine, but just wanna make sure, because the 10's are only rated at 600rms, not 750.
