In choosing between these two speakers, I would lean to the SE because there isn't enough difference in them to justify the extra $100+ for the IDQ. I have an IDQ12v3 and am running my brother's SE in the same 1.0 cube box I took my IDQ out of just to see what I think of it sealed. Honestly speaking, the SE hits harder and digs deeper than the IDQ. It isn't *quite* as easy to blend into the frontstage as the IDQ, but it isn't hard to do either. SEs really are a great "SQL" subwoofer.
