10,000 watt jbl

anyone else go to the jbl website lately?? well if not JBL and Crown have teamed up to make the largest car amp in the world (approx 6,000 watts rms and 10,000 peak) not bad eh! apparently the JBL GTi subs will handle this kind of power. anyways anybody have any opinions on this thing

It's impressive from a technology standpoint, but not many will own it for the price ($6,000 last I heard).

That is only a buck a watt...oh good god that is 6000 dollars, never mind!

JBL seems to be coming back, the stuff they used to have in my opinion *****!

Yep ,we've had this discussion, that is the MSRP, but it still is not worth it.

That is a big amp but no where near the largest i think ppi makes one up there in the thousands and harrison labs makes a 9600watt rms and a 20,000watt rms amp

Those SOBs should be gas powered. They are just used for "burps" of power.

The 9600watt amp is an actual amp.The 20k amp is a tone generator they haven't got it to run of seperate signal yet but they will have it as a legal amp some day . It has a 70volt battery built in it that charges from your car and then gives off burst of power at 1/4 ohm
