if i bought two w7 then i would buy 2 1000 watt amps but if i bought one i would max it out and buy a 1000 watt amp and a 500 wat amp. what is the difference between the slash 1000/v1 and the 1000/v2

Are you saying you're going to use a 1000 watt amp and a 500 watt amp to run to this one sub? I don't know if I'm mis-reading that or what.

I would take a sd2kw, stetsom amp, ssa or a t3 over JL anyday:fyi:.
