They'd wear out. Subs are wearing items. Amps can last a long *** time but subs, no. FYI the surround doesn't matter anyway?

i said you can't burn the coil in 20 years giving it it's rateing... and yes the surround matters, it's foam you can poke through it by poking it, other matterials are lighter, stronger, and last longer

I Agree. You can actually see and feel the difference.

i have a 12'' W6V2 and the sound quality is just excellent, and also it POUNDS! Having 2 w6 will give you more output than a single w7, and also better sound quality. It would be a perfect match with a 1000/1.

back to OP yea 2 w6s are gunna be better than 1 w7 (most of the time)
