ive done that as well. it is too heavy, its best to just use birch in that case....imo

build it right the first time, my box fell apart that was 5cubes with my type r's lol.. then agin i used shitty wood... i thought the whole time it was my roof ratteling, but it was the back wall on the box moving back and forth and it broke the screws

im using 13 ply, my HD didnt carry the 7 ply stuff, but its all birch

how much did that run you? i havent looked or asked at HD. do you know how much it weights?

i may use that on my next build.

well i built it out of 3/4 particle board, but the better kind.. i didn't want to spend $30 on a sheet of mdf right away, so i built a cheaper box to see how things fit and it sounded... yea it flexed and fell apart, but im gonna change my set up, i dont want type r's anymore
