1 Memphis 1000d VS 2 Audiobahn A8000t

He sent it back to memphis to get it repaired again. Takes a while though. He said last time it took about a month for him to send it off...get it "fixed" and sent it back.
So you would take the mephis 500 RMS to each sub over the audiobahn 800 RMS to each sub?
Honestly, I would keep what I had if I were you. Nothings wrong with your amps. It would always be in the back of my mind that something may go wrong with the amp. If you wanna upgrade, do it the right way. Dont make lateral moves. I doubt you would notice much with the 1000D compared to what you have now. Settings and tuning are your friend sound wise. As for power/loudness, you might even lose some. Now if it were a st1500-d or a mojo, thats something you could trade both of your amps for and it be an upgrade, as long as it worked properly.

well I am still waiting for the memphis amp to get back.

Right now I only have about 200 RMS going to each sub (only 1 of my audiobahns are hooked up because 1 messed up). With the 200 RMS to each sub I hit 144 Decibels. How many decibals do you think I could gain with the memphis amp (500 RMS to each sub) or even both of my audiobahns hooked up (800 RMS to each sub)?

Also, sorry to bump..but this is probably a really stupid question but how does a amp affect SQ? I thought that was mostly up to the sub. How much SPL do you think I would lose going with the memphis instead of the 2 audiobahns? Asking this because I'm mostly for SPL and I have a DB meter and everyone in town wants to compete with me.

Will someone please answer my above questions....

Appreciate it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

A amp can effect your sq, the better the amp, the cleaner its gonna sound. Audiobahn tends to overrate things, there mainly for looks, thats why there nick name is audiobling. Memphis 1000d amp will have better SQ and more then likely push more watts the audiobahns together. I would go for the memphis std-1000d, I had one hooked up to my 15'' LVS, it pushed it great. Im sure you will be more then happy with than amp.......promise
