Im contemplating either running one mag 12" in 2.0 ^3 tuned to 32hz, or two mags in 4.0 cubes at 32hz. The one mag would be runnin off a ZX2500.1 at 4 ohms (1300w) and the two would be running off the zx at 2 ohms.

Should i buy one, build a nice ported box with a great design? Or run two?

If i stick with one, i can use the money toward a new component amp, and a new head unit. If i go with two, I'll have to save up for my new equiptment..

Let me know what you guys think i should do.

If your into SQ over SPL, I would go with one and get that new head unit and comp amp. Especially if your current HU is not up to par.

If you just want tons of bass, i would go with 2

I agree. Go with one sub if you want a pretty good amount of bass to compliment your front stage. If you want to be really loud, go with two. One Mag should be plenty loud enough for any daily driver that doesn't want to go deaf, unless you are one of those people who like to impress people once in a while. If it were me I would buy one and spend the money somewhere else.

I agree I'd much rather have my sub-bass blend with the front stage nicely rather than having 63hz and below(or wherever you have yours LP at) overpowering everything else. I'm just the kind of person that would rather have a nice subtle sub-bass with a powerful front stage. So I vote for one sub.

my head unit is currently shit. lol cda-9857.. 2 band eq, 2v preouts ftl.

I'm gonna start with one, if I want more.. Ill get a second.
