w7's would have better sq and less power demand and not much needed in terms of electrical upgrades.

the solox is mostly an spl sub (as everyone knows), and if you have the power, and the electrical system to keep up with it, then hell i'd take that.

but like said before, w7s are more practical and you can actually hear the music not just "booooooooooooom boooooooooom boom boom booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmm"

how come u cant hear music wit a solo X, have u actually heard 1 thats not in a spl setup? have u heard an w7? have u actually installed either?

it all comes down to if u have the power or not and the room for the solo.

yes i have a 13w7. yes i've heard it before. i've heard a 10" solox (the kicker neon car).

i was just saying that the dub7 would be more practical for less power demands and better sq.

i am ignorant and sorry i spoke when i shouldn't have.

but one would think that the solox is more of an spl sub and less likely to think that it has some decent sq.

If properly installed, u can make almost ANY sub sound good. I dont get it with these self-proclaimed "audiophiles" who say the solo-x, L7 or basically a square sub doesnt have sq. That statement is one of the most S**tty one's in car audio imho.

I know 3 people who daily drive with solo-x subs and i will be the fourth. Its always in the install. I wish some of these non-factually statements about certain subs would just die.....

Sure the 18X is power hungry but with efficient enough amps and a big 3 upgrade, u shouldnt have any problems.

I do recall that the 12" Solo-x did win some national SQ competition, but they probably had it low passed at about 35-40hz with other drivers taking over anything above that.
