1 batt. 2500d

I have an hu that does that also, but not everyone, he is just telling everyone to max out your gains, does not sound too smart to me. Just b/c he can build a good ported box, it does not mean he knows everything else about car audio.
i dont think he was tellin anyone to max there gains. but it isnt gonna hurt anything if u kno wha u doin. im sure someone will be on here soon, complainin and askin for help about the setup, it happens all the time.

I didn't say for the guy to max out the gains... its more of a don't be scared to turn em up if you need to. It was in context with trigger's post...

If you dont have noise issues, its fine... I burp with the amp at .5 on volume 25/sub level -3 out of 35 on the HU, 5v kenwood... for 1 ohm the sub level goes up to -1, for 2 ohm the sub level goes up to 0 and the volume to 27. That being with the gain maxed. What would happen if I turned the gain all the way down? I'd just have to turn the sub level/volume up... thats it. I can roll with the sub level on -10/-15 with max gain, or have it around 0 with the gain at .25/all the way down.. either way.

I have a 8004 and a 1200d. At full power my lights dimmed. You just can't run a true 2500 watts on a stock system. End of story.
With a decent battery and plenty of wire... sure you can. Its been done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Just need an effeciant amp, like an orion 2500d - lol.

I understand what you are saying. my alpine has sub level 1-15 and i set my gains at sub level 10 so i can turn it up to 15 if a song is recorded lower or does not have as much bass. the max volume on my alpine is 35 and thats where my component amp is set to also. anyways i set my sub amp like i do to have a higher pre out voltage. nothing wrong with the way i do it or the way you do it. And for the thread starter, i will have my 2500d soon on my civic's 70 amp alt. so i will let you know how it goes
