1.5" slot port too narrow?

I am building a box for my Adire Tempest. Ported enclosure 2.5 cubic foot tuned to 25hz. I am looking to slot port the enclosure with a 1.5"X15" port 32" long. Is the 1.5" opening too narrow? I am new to slot porting and needing any help i can get.

you want to keep it 8:1 or smaller. your port would be 10:1. height/width

Also, you want more port area to reduce port noise issues. I'd go with at least 2.5 x 15

Ok I will increase the port size to 2.5" or 3". Should the port be on the same side of the box as the woofer? Example is the woofer is facing forward and I was planning on having the slot on the front of the box also. Is this ok or should I port it out the side? This is a trunk install and the seat doesnt fold down.

If it is ok to put the sub and port on the same wall, would it be better to face the rear of the car so it can "breathe" ?

Face it rear (for trunk car). It's great to have the sub and port on the same face.

Changed design to 27hz and port to 2.5 X 14.5
