how does it work with only one input? or does the main input work as front and the aux input do rear and sub if the rear preouts were plugged into it?

The input is from the HU and then is sends singnals out to the amplifiers.

AUX could be your MP3 palyer input.

but what output from the headunit do u use front rear or sub?

you give the equalizer one of those outputs from ur headunit.....dont make drastic changes to the equalizer settings on ur main headunit. then make all ur adjustments on the equalizer and thats the output that goes to ur amps
