Decisions... decisions... i don't really know how either one will sound so I am taking a chance...

I know both subs are comparable, and have decent sq, and spl... id rather have more sq that spl (i think having subs will give me good spl) so I think either one will do fine...

Getting either one will be about the same RMS...

i will make a sealed box to man. specs...

i probably will put an amp on there that barely touches the RMS so 5-600w...

so which one would you choose? and what amp... hifonics?

sweet... now, where is the lowest price? i saw the GD for the REs... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I like my hifonics amps but just keep in mind they are rated at "higher than the average setup" volts so therefore the amps rms rating will in fact be a noticable amount higher then what you will actually be getting. Hifonics just has a reputation for overrating their amps and are yet to prove me wrong but don't get me wrong they are solid amps for the money.

well the shiva is on backorder isn't it? i really don't want to wait so i will go with the SE... as long as it has SOME sq... i'm sure it does, but y'all are saying the shiva has more sq right?

i guess 1 se12 will be enough... ~600w... that will shake stuff right? i don't want it to, so i can just turn it down...

Dude, SE has tons of SQ too. They are justifying that because the Shiva has less SPL, you could seperate the two like that, or some bullshit.

The SE has the potential to be a better sub. Of course shivas are great subs as well but I'd go with the SE. $50 difference? "If its worth doing, its worth doing right."

get a viper 1200.1 its a good solid amp to run. wire the SE to 2 ohms and the viper will put out around 700 watts, but u can turn the gain down, then you have the flexibility of 1ohm which it puts out 1200+ watts. you can get it for around 200$ refurbished from factory at ikesound. awsome deal, i bought one from team csw on ebay.

here is the viper

what you recommend turning the gains to? i am probably going to take it to a local shop to install (amp & sub & box i build) and i will tell them what to set the gains to...

i don't know much on amp gains and tuning...

that's cool... i will just stay at 2 ohms & 700ws... that way i won't have to worry about it blowing... i've heard SEs can take some major power...

thanks again... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
