1 12" or 2 12" subs

I have about 2.5 cubes between my center console of my crew cab truck would it be better for more output and better sound quality to go with 2 12"s in that much space or one better more powerful sub, i have a 2 channel 1400 rms watt ppi

i'd do a 10'' type R if your on a budget or you could squeeze a tc-2000 ported in there.
