Which setup would go lower ? Which would be louder ? Which would be the tightest ? I have a 400 watt 2 ohm amp and a box about 1.0 cu ft which I would seperate into two .5 cu ft partitions.

Having 2 subs as apposed to one gives you a little more spl. However bigger subs handle more power and go lower, but you might need a new box. But the 2 10s would be a bit snappier, but personally one 12 is what I'd go with if I were you.
