i have a 12 kicker cvx right now in a ported box facing up behind the driver's seat of my f-150 ext cab, i was wondering if it would sound better if i put like 2 or 3 8's under the remaining bench that is still down? i want to port them aswell but was wondering if the 12 and the 8's would be hitting at different speeds and taht would sound funky.... so would this work or is this just a stupid idear? thanks

i know i heard its not too good.... it was just a thought though. i wouldn't if i had thespace for another 12 but i was just thinkin.... i would run em off a different amp btw too

I've been thinking about doing something like this in my new car, but i'm most likely going to use a few 8" midbass speakers and use them just for midbass to go along with one 12". i'll pretty much have them set up as subs, but have the sub sonic set so that they don't try and hit the lower bass frequencies.

If you only powered one sub (usually the largest / loudest), and the other woofers had resistors or were shorted to act like "reactive" passive radiators, it might work. Think of it as a way of using an old woofers to make a PR system that also has built in RDO.

Yes, I have too much time on my hands.
