What test tones do you guys who listen to rick & metal use to set your sub amp gains with?
Just curious.
Just curious.
Did you ever get test tones made for you or did you just multiply the voltage by 1.41?I posted a thread about this last week. I think that if you use a tone closest to recorded music, you can set the gain more efficiently. Music is recorded at -5.6 DB. So if you don't compete or your system never sees 0 DB or even -3 DB tones, then why set your amp with them.
Here is the thread I made and the reponses I got.

I think it only makes sense and used the 1.41 multiplier and everything is golden on my buddies stereo.
Negative. No one would do it, so I said fvck it and used the multiplier. I did this on my buddy's amp, and I will do it with the IA this evening and let you know.Did you ever get test tones made for you or did you just multiply the voltage by 1.41?
