i have recently purchased the new memphis 12" m3 subs rated at 500 watts rms and 1000 max. i have not yet bought or decided on an amp to power them. ideas for what kind or size? i want them to hit hard!

i also would like some opinions on what type of box to use for them. im choosing between any ported or banpass box which is better?

lol. i guess i could have just looked at what the subs were in the title. pick your amp based on that. you could wire those to a one ohm load and then find an amp that puts out like...1500 that's one ohm stable.

i have 2 and yes they are dual 4 ohm. i have no clue what ohm means or how it relates to amp size but people have neen telling me to get 1500 or 2000 watt amps but i dontmknow if i should get mono, 2 channel, 5 channel or what?
