Well, I figured I would post my build progress, all I really have left is to carpet the box and do a leather arm rest. My truck had a decent sounding setup for the average person with a 10in RF P1 in a sealed box and Alpine mids, highs, etc but that just didnt cut it for me.

This build is to suit the way I want it to sound, not to win a spl or sq contest. But I do want it to hammer the low notes and have crisp clean highs.

Here is a run down of whats going on.

The equipment that will be going in and some that was already there and will be staying. * indicates new equip

Power and wiring

*30ft of 1 /0 KNU Kolossus OFC Power

*20ft of 1/ 0 KNU Kolossus OFC Ground

*5ft of 4 gauge KNU OFC power

*5ft of 4 gauge KNU OFC ground

*Tsunami main fuse holder up front and distribution fuse box for back.

*Kicker ground block

*KNU 10 gauge speaker wire for sub, 16 gauge for speakers

RF rca's, etc

2 Optima Red tops

*Monster Cable... Slim battery terminals

Stock alt (for now if it holds voltage up)

Head Unit

Alpine IVA-W200

NVE-N872A

KCA-100BT

Sub, box and amp

*one 15in FI Q, cooling option and extra spider

*3.6cu ported console box tuned to 29hz

*Sundown SAZ 1500D v.2

Speakers and amp

four Alpine Type R 5x7 coaxials in front doors and rear fill

*two Memphis 15-PR1 aluminum dome tweeters up front

Alpine PDX 4.150

Misc

Beltronics RX-75

180watt power inverter for my laptop or fax machine

Viper 771xv Alarm

I realize that there is not a super strong midbass in the setup but I do later plan on deadening the doors and whole truck and maybe that will help fill that void. I may even replace the front Alpines and put in a 6.5in component set with a sealed pod to help with that. I can say that the upper range is very clear, crisp and as loud as you want with the 4.150 running it.

The box is now in the truck and hooked up for testing and fitment. All I can say is WOW. This things digs very low and hits extremely hard!! I wasnt really going for anything major as far as spl goes but ****! This sub just pounds! All kinda window, door, dash and steering wheel flex, lol.

I guess I wasnt expecting that.

I am loving this setup and will get more pics up soon!

You are local to me. I have a office in LaVergne

They are mounted with the cup mounts that came with the tweeters. For 59 bucks from Electronic Express they are a deal and sound good. Maybe too in your face for some people but the suit me well.

His shop is local, I would have to see about using it again. Its very hard to line it up and had the time scheduled for a few weeks in advance.

I am in Smyrna quite a bit mainly eating lunch around Cheddar's, Panda, etc. Just hallar at me if you ever want to meet and hear it.

Looks great!

Makes me want to find a way to get rear seats like my fronts and do something similar to this so I can have a big daily setup!
