Been out of car audio for a while now. Got a cheap Durango limited work truck with a dead navigation head unit.
Got a cheap double din radio and ordered a dash kit with a wiring harness.
Dash kit worked fine harness is wrong so I did some digging and apparently these trucks require an expensive programable adapter.
Kept digging and I found an amp bypass wiring harness. Looks like that would work and it's $30 vs $160. So I ordered that and just got it today.
Says in the instructions it has separate front tweeters and needs a crossover to work. And it has factory sub which won't work.
I don't care so much about the factory sub as eventually I'll probably get a sundown 8 or something for the back.
But I just want the damn stereo to work without costing an arm and a leg
So is there a small cheap crossover I can put behind the head unit?
Or is there an easier/cheaper way to go about this? I'm not looking to spend a ton on this just wanted a cheap stereo that works lol
