What is wrong exactly?

one of the coils unwound I think was the case. One coil reads 2.2 ohms, and the other reads 0.0. I think when my dumbass brother re-installed it with out my knowledge, he tried to fit two 12g wires into one terminal to try to run it at 1 ohm brigded, which my Colossus II is not rated for, and I think one of them fell out of the terminal.

I've seen 3 or 4 MX's with this coil coming unwound, maybe its a manufactures defect? I'd check with them, is it still under warennty?

checking on the warrenty thing right now. I'm guessing no because I bought it from the forum admin Shon of ROE. That was last year, but I've never even really got to use it due to many diff. circumstances. Oh, and the re-cone is $170

****, thats a bunch for a recone, they quoted a friend of mine 225 for the MX recone.

That is a sexy lookin woofer though.

yeah, total for me it would be over $300 to ship it there, re-cone it, and ship it back to AK.

They said only a qualified RE tech person can do it because you have to dismantle the sub
