06 trailblazer wiring

I have a 06 Trailblazer I need to I need to know when hooking up an aftermarket head unit can I just not use harness and just "hardwire" it and jus hook up door speakers to the headunit because I use the regular harness and it come on and no power and installed the original radio back and everything works fine and I was reading that I needed this $113 harness that I'm not going to buy just trying to see if I can bypass
