05 RE XXX w/ US MD2

Anyone have experience with this match up? I'm pretty confident the MD2 will do the job for my 12" XXX. I'm sending out the check today for the amp. Just wanted to hopefully get some feedback to confirm my suspicions. My box is about 2.5 cubes tuned to 30 hz.

seems like alot daily but I'm sure it can handle it, how did it sound? What amp? I don't think I would want anything more than the MD2 rated at 1800 @ 1 ohm and benched at 1950. I should be pretty happy with that.

No, 2.5 cubes after displacement is just about perfect for the 12". It's the 15" that requires upwards of 4 cubes. And remember, this is the 05 version.

I have the same sub in a 2.25 cu. ft. enclosure tuned to 28Hz. You're gonna love it.

I have a 6.0 bridged running it. Specs have it at 1200 x 1 but benched it's actually putting out 1500-1600 rms

Its probably putting out closer to 1200 after impedance rise... Bench test don't equate the car and imp rise into the results.

Pretty good match. Set my gains for around 1500w, and it did the job. But now i bought k4rts 2000w amp and will be now giving it 2000w.

btw, i hit a 144dB with the setup now. (gotta change the siggy)

Nice, but why didn't you give it the 1800 watts it's rated at?
