04/05 RE XXX 12" Ported, how many cubes?

Hey all, I tried searching but its very hard to pinpoint this year with all the new XXX mumbo jumbo in my way. Anyone remember what was the conclusion on box size for 04/05 RE XXX 12" ported?

I have a box built already at like 2 cubes to work with. Off 1000rms.

2 should probably be OK if that's what you have. 3 would be a lot easier to tune low. IIRC these liked tuning low to get a wide and flat response.

Yea I built it for my IDMAX 12, so its like about 2 cubes before tuned at about 35hz. I'm worried it's too small.

I guess I can live with it for now to see how it sounds then build it out at a later date if need be. Just couldn't find the info I needed, thanks.

lots of posts ive seen when researching the sub tell people to just call RE audio and ask. Tell them you have the 04/05 and they can pull up the specs and tell you what's needed. I'd put it in that enclosure and see how it likes it first

They said 3.75 cubes, 28 sq inches of port slot (or 6" round aero), 13" long. He said to fiberglass resin the inside and bolt that ****** to the car so it doesnt move around. Tunes about 34-35hz.

Don't play with my emotions. I had a hunch from the guy at RE telling me bogus info. Maybe he thought I meant a 15"?

the 3.7 cu ft is between compact and optimal on their website for the new junk, so I'm sure he misinformed you.
