hello, im putting a wall in my 01 ford taurus and i am putting in the 03 model kicker comp vr 15's. I have 2 at the moment and was wondering if i should add 2 more. I ask because i dont want to spend the money on extra subs if it isnt really worth it. This install is all out spl too. If the extra 2 subs are really worth it please tell me. Thanks guys.

Well let me put it this way....

If you have the room and the power, then adding 2 more CVRs will make all the difference...

You would be doubling the cone area and doubling the power!

BUT if you dont have the power, or are going to be squeezing them in, dont do it.

If you dont have the room in your car for the airflow and can't fit AT LEAST the recommended ported box size(ported cuz ur wanting spl) then stick with 2, just like my grand am has like 5 cubes tops to work with in the trunk, im only getting 1 12 or 1 15, but if you have plenty of room go with 2 more, that will wang hella hard

That is something you'll have to find out through thurough testing. I would imagine that you would have enough room for 4 15s and still have enough left over for a huge port, but I don't have one, so I don't know. How thick are you making the baffle?

I take it this is your first wall then?

yea this will be my first wall, i reckon i might have enough room for the other 2. The baffle is gunna be 3/4" mdf braced, but if it flexes i'll prolly double up. Also, does anybody know how to anchor to the baffle to the roof or would you guys do a triangle type support that mounted to the rear deck and then to the front baffle? Thnx again.

I would do ATLEAST a double baffle on a wall, and you don't anchor the baffle to the roof, it's basicly just a big box behind the b-pillar that you seal off from the rear end of the car.

Have you ever even seen a wall in person? THat would be a good first step.

i havent ever seen a wall in person no:( I dont really know anyone around here with a wall or have heard of anyone having one in this area. No its not a hatchback its an 01 ford Taurus. I reckon i might as well go ahead and double up the baffle before i get it in and it flexes. Thanks for your help guys.

I would seriously wait until you saw one in person.
