no designing or building skills.

looking for a basic sealed design for an 03 re xxx 12 w/ max output for 300watts.

old lady thought the type-r 15 w/ 600watts 3.5cuft slot port tuned @ 35hz was way too much, so were toning it down until i get my new car and do the real install.

is this gonna cost me money?

lemme know what's up.

i was waiting for this kinda reply ;/

for the time being yes.

she wants bass, period. not a lot. it's all i got atm.

the 300watt setup will be in her 08accent hatchback

and this will be going into an older magnum/tiburon once I decide on a vehicle and after I buy a 2-3.0k amp.

No point in having that xxx if your not going to use it to its full potential. Ill trade you a jl w3 that will work awsome in sealed box of 300w?

jk I would go ported and at least rms to the sub. Because going from a type r to a xxx isint going to be any quiter lol so might as well go all the way and keep the gains down when the girl isint in the car.

O my bad...... I feel you on the money. If it needs to be sealed then just find the specs for the sub and go from their. I dont think you will need a bunch of bracing if your only going to run 300w. So go with 3/4 mdf and some good wood glue, and some 1 5/8 screws. They have tones of sites to help you on cf.

I'd be willing to dish out like $10... I just can't justify forking out a good heap of money for a simple sealed 300watt design ;d no bracing/supports or anything fancy

thanks for the info tho

thnx spark, i might just say **** it and slap together a throw away box since this is a totally temp setup.

sadly she thinks the reason her old car's engine siezed is because the 'subwoofer rattled something loose in the engine' because thats what the mechanics said lmao.
