03 focus zx3, 33k miles, 7.5k , yay or nay?

I only paid 18500 for mine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I still owe quite a bit on it though, lol!
i don't think yours had the factory body kit like mine...so probally reason in extra cost.....on mine

Try living in NE Ohio where the Humidity is crazy! So trust me I know what is like to be in hot weather. I actually don't use my AC that much unless it is unbareable.
I would rather have a new car to be honest.

Plus she could always get it added on I believe. Just might cost her some.

Well it wasn't a new car, it was the same year as mine, it just had less miles... 37K less....and a lot less options...

But i mean come on, 50K total, in all highway miles, isn't that bad. Besides if an 06 only has 13K, you know that most of them were city miles.

Personally, i'd rather have a car with a couple more miles and a lot more options, for $1000 less.

Just me... and apparently her as well. She is trying to return it, but i don't think she will get anywhere with that..

where did you run the power wire in the firewall? From what ive seen by searching a drilled hole is the only way? How was running the wires, were you forced to remove the seats?
i ran my 4ga power and gnd wire through the drivers side door jam ...you'll need a gnd wire in the trunk also from the main battery because the ground resistance is to low being a uni body

ew, through the door jam ? is it noticeable? would 0gauge have any problems with this? was it somewhat hard running the wires under the carpet? i plan on throwing a couple batteries in the trunk with 2 saz's and in the next few months throw in a ho alternator

Well the wiring was a bish. I actually didnt do it myself because i was a little paranoid and instead of messing with it myself i had a mechanic friend do it. I planned it all out, the route and how i wanted it, but let him do the actual work. Because i also had him switch out the battery with a stinger power2.

IIRC the wire follows the firewall to the passenger side and the comes down and enters the cabin by the passenger kick. Then it runs along the side to the backseat and pops up behind the backseat. I ran the wires through the cabin, and yes i removed the seats, but i had the mechanic do the engine bay routing and get it into the cabin. IIRC he had to remove the wheel, and the wheel well protector thingy to make it nice and neat and protected. But they changed the fofo in 06 so yours might be way different.

I could snap some pics later if you like.

the way i ran my two no one would ever notice...i sent them through the fender into an empty rubber grommet...they ae loomed also...a single 1/0 should fit...2 won't....you might could send the gnd under the car ....and the pos through the door....in my Saleen i ran 2 4 gauges...with a batcap 2000 under the hood and one in the trunk...and i have no dimming with 3000 true watts...

I might have someone run my wires for me also... I felt uneasy just removing the hatch panel to deaden the metal behind it... I have such bad luck removing plastic panels and snapping the clips, pictures would be most helpful.

Did you keep the stock headunit? Im thinking I might keep the blaupunkt because it does look somewhat nice, and does what i need it to do.

No i replaced the stock headunit with a premier 780. I added the Sirius tuner, a 12 disk changer (under the passenger seat which i can reach from the drivers seat), the PAC to retain steering wheel control, and I use the little compartment under the deck to hold my Zune.

I also added some PG ti elite comps in pods up front with no rear fill. My sub-stage is a SS rli-8' that i inverted in the stock sub box. I power everything with a PG x200.4

It's certainly not the loudest system in the world, but it sounds decent and i'm happy with it.

Plus i could take it all out and put the stock sub/deck in with no problems in like 1/2 hour.
