03 focus zx3, 33k miles, 7.5k , yay or nay?

my car was supposed to be $20K after taxes out the door with rebates. I did not have a trade in. They sold it to me for $15K...3 miles on the clock

if your paying with cash offer them $6k they will probably take it
my car was priced at $13k when i bought it, i offered $10k cash for it and was declined after he "spoke to the manager" so i gave him my number and told him to call me if he reconsidered. i wasnt even a mile away by the time he called:)

WAY too much.......

I had a 03 zx3 until I totalled it, and it didn't take much for it to be totalled. They are an alright car, Very, VERY slow though. I would look into a SVT minimum if you are looking at a focus

I don't know exact prices but have you looked at Corollas? They start about 14k with some options so you may be able to find something around 7k or so with not to bad of miles.
You probably won't find one with 30k but I would take a 50k Toyota over a Ford with 30k on it any day of the week.
Interesting and let me guess, only because of the Toyota reliabilty, correct? Please, if you take care of your car it will last, period!

Also I test drove a Toyota Corrolla before I bought my Focus ST and yeah, sorry to tell you, but they are not anything special. I drove their top of the line one too.

Focus have more room, mine is a lot faster, gas, ok that goes to The Corrolla. Interior and exterior, Focus wins IMO.

Honestly, I wouldn't by used anymore. To many idiots might have owned the car before you. I just don't trust that anymore.

here is a funny story about buying a fofo. This girl i work with liked my car and when i told her i was selling it to move to Korea she told her parents who came by my house to look at it.

They seemed interested, but the next time i worked with her she said that they told her i wanted too much money and they thought i was upside down on my loan, which isn't true at all. They didn't want to "pay for my interest". I was asking about exactly what it booked for. Its in good shape, is the SES, has some sweet options like heated seats and steering wheel audio controls not usually found on a focus. Plus it is in great shape and only has 50K on it.

Well yesterday she showed up with a new car. A focus, same year as mine, but only a S model. She was a little disappointed because it was so stripped down, didn't even have power windows or door locks let alone heated seats or the stereo i installed and said i would leave if she bought it. I asked what they paid and she told me about $1000 more than i was asking.

I laughed and asked her why they would pay so much for such a stripped down model. I asked her if it even had air conditioning, because i knew that wasn't standard on the S model. She said it did, but when she returned from her lunch break she was panicked.

Her car doesn't even had AC.

I picked it up yesterday, the car cost itself was $6.5 which is below retail value on the car by nearly $500-$1000 depending on where you look... with taxes and all that other nonsence it came out to $7k even...

I know its still high compared to a privet seller, but i've been searching autotrader, classifides, ebay, and went to ever dealership in town in the past week and every other car in this price range had twice the miles and in worse condition... im happy with it, im putting in a nice system and it will get be back and forth for a few years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Cool, hope it lasts and just drive it till the wheels fall off!

lol! Some people are too funnay! She does have a lot less miles though. So probably a warranty and if anything happened, then she would be covered. I wouldn't even waste my time with a stripped down focus, but hey with the way the economy is, then it's whatever. She got a new car out of it.

Man I can't believe you have over 50k on yours already. You must drive every where.

I just turned 27,000 yesterday. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

you try thinking AC isn't a big deal in South Dakota in the month of august.

Especially when you live a million miles from anywhere and you have to reach across the seats to roll down your passenger side window by hand.

my Focus was $20,000 new I still owe a little over $3000 on it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Try living in NE Ohio where the Humidity is crazy! So trust me I know what is like to be in hot weather. I actually don't use my AC that much unless it is unbareable.

I would rather have a new car to be honest.

Plus she could always get it added on I believe. Just might cost her some.
